The Abnaki Club – Reflections
Welcome
In 1894 a group of Maine Masons stepped forward to support construction of the of the Augusta Masonic Temple. The building would house commercial shops, meeting  and dining rooms for the Masonic Lodge and a series of Club rooms with a small dining room and billiards parlor. The Abnaki Club was to be a social gathering place for prominent Maine Masons, the number of area members was intentionally restricted to 150 to accommodate those from outside the area.
The Abnaki Club was formed with one purpose to provide suitable rooms for us of its members in common. The promotion among them  of friendly intercourse and such other social purposes as the club may ordain.
All Maine Masons in good standing are welcome to present themselves as candidates for membership.
